Matlock – Weight Loss Camp Day Report – 30 June 2015

This special blog post report is what happened in one of our recent Fitfarms fat camp weeks as reported by one of our instructors.

Tuesday is one of my favourite days at FitFarms. It is the second day of our nutritional workshop. This is the session that clients look forward to the most. Lesley our nutritional therapist is a lovely women who is able to put across key information in an easy and relatable way to clients.

Unfortunately there is so much poor or conflicting information about what we should or shouldn't be eating that no one knows what to eat. What is even worse many of the things that we are told by the media or in adverts that are supposed to be good for us are usually full of sugar or man made chemicals that provide us with nothing we need.

This session is a big eye opening session. It allows clients to get away from this brainwashed mindset that they cant eat this or they shouldn't be doing that. Where as its much more simple just to eat a balanced and maintainable diet which fits in with their lifestyle and is enjoyable, we all eat bad stuff so why not keep it in our diet but just in moderation.

We don't just advise on what to eat but also have a cookery workshop with amazing Lynne, our resident chef. Many of our clients struggle on snacks, especially with a busy lifestyle or working on the road and snack on chocolate bars, crisps, etc. Simple recipes like our fruit and nut energy balls, banana pancakes and cauliflower rice are perfect for those on the go looking for a healthier alternative.

Remember lite, low fat, diet doesn't necessarily mean healthy.
