Matlock - Weight Loss Camp Day, 27 September 2015

Amongst other things today we will be going on a 6 mile local walk, with a nice bit of a hill involved! It's always good to be getting off site throughout the week, it helps to keep the mood positive and the walks are a great way to get some fresh air and low intensity exercise, just what the guys needed this afternoon, it was beautiful weather for a walk and the views are amazing around our site on a nice clear day.

The other "main event" of today is the fitness workshop, in this we talk about BALANCE! We consider different approaches to exercise and how to decide what and which suits us best. We do love a good old intensive workout here at FitFarms, but the simple fact of the matter you will never be as effective at achieving your goals if you are constantly pushing and over training, something myself Helen and Sean have definitely learnt the hard way through our own experience, so we encourage a balanced approach allowing for high, low and intermediate intensity as well as active and passive recovery sessions all of which this workshop will discuss and hopefully help you to start generating some ideas to a more suitable and consistent routine for when you return home.
