Team up! Making exercise fun is important, and partnering up with a loved one will allow you to push each other into a regular exercise regime.

Relying solely on yourself each day to motivate you through your weight loss can be challenging. Studies show people are 40% more likely to stick to an exercise regime if they have an exercise buddy, having reliable, steady support helps you to hold accountability, while finding further enjoyment in exercising. Relying on yourself for motivation will often lead to a non-progressive weight loss.

Visualise Success

Where do you see yourself 1 year from now? Having a Vision Board helps to visualise what success is to you and keep you on track along the way.

Whether success to you is an improvement in health, confidence in your body or an improved quality of life, visualise it! Print out what success will look like to you and create a vision board. Vision boards are proven to enhance perseverance when reaching towards an end goal, having it somewhere as a daily reminder will aid you towards a consistent and progressive fitness journey.

Maintain Variety

Boredom by exercise is reported by around 50% of people, but it does not need to be. Trying to maintain regular exercise that you do not enjoy is going to make your life more challenging, so maintaining variety is key. Simply trying to keep up regularly going to gym can often cause boredom and can be difficult to upkeep.

Try find a range of different exercises to try. Have a look at your local gym, village hall or online to see what local exercise classes are available to you, often there is more on than you would think. This is a fantastic way to meet new people and try out new forms of exercise. Having a scheduled class also pushes you obtain an exercise regime, rather than primely relying on motivation from yourself.
