Hello To Everyone On This Course!

It would be great if you could introduce yourself and give a few reasons why you
have chosen to come to FitFarms.

If you would like to ask any last minute questions here's the place to do it.

See you soon

Hi everyone I'm kelly! My background is mental health nursing and I work 55 hrs a week running memory clubs for people with dementia and also work with the police in educating Gloucestershire to be a dementia friendly county.
My son has just finished his first year at uni and I will be the first to admit I didn't cope well with my only son leaving for uni and turned to everything fattening and bad for me as well as losing interest in everything I used to do including fitness so at present I'm happy as he is home for the summer but I'm also extremely overweight with no motivation.
I used to be obsessed with fitness and completed the London marathon a few years ago but now I'm at the point that I need a kick start and fit farms helped me a few years ago so I'm relying on this week to help me return to fitness, weight loss and to start being the person I remember.
See you all soon
Kelly

Hi All - I'm Liz. I work as a nurse specialist in Parkinson's Disease in the Swindon area although I live in the North Cotswolds. Similar to other nurses, I work long hours and can find it difficult to put in that "me" time. I have spent far too many years grabbing the wrong food, unwinding with food treats and alcohol, and flopping in front of the TV. The result is a threat to good health! So I'm after that kick start, the challenge, meeting like-minded people, and hopefully having a bit of fun along the way. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Hi my name is Sharon. My background is also in MH nursing, after 40 yrs of clinical and managerial posts I semi retired and am now a specialist member on Mental Health Tribunals and teach nationally on suicide prevention! All heavy stuff! So time for some me time. I want to stay fit and healthy. I am a fanatical golfer, although still learning, which is great exercise and would like to get fitter to improve my game.

Hi Everyone

My name is Vilma and I'm looking forward to meeting you all soon. I'm a recently retired Head Teacher and like many other contributors, found that a stressful job and long hours were not always compatible with a healthy lifestyle. It was all too easy to de-stress in front of the TV with a glass of vino and over the years my weight has gradually crept up. However, since retirement I have started exercising regularly again and can feel my physical and mental health improving as a result. I am really looking forward to an intensive few days with like-minded women - and hopefully having lots of fun too.

Hi Everyone, My name is Lucy, and i'll be attending a 3 day course in July.
I stopped smoking a few years ago and i've gained a lot of weight. I exercise a couple of times a week but I eat far too much so I'm hoping to find a balance between the two so I feel better both physically and mentally.

Hi everyone! My names Lou and I'm attending the four day course - this is the first time I've ever done anything like this so I'm excited although bit nervous!although I'm on my feet for long periods ,I don't get much exercise and by the time my days finished I just want to put my feet up and eat then bed! I always was very active but over the last couple of years my fitness has drastically dropped and I have gained a lot of weight. I have chosen this course for the motivation and re education I feel I need to make a positive start!see you there- hoping for sunny days:)
